A lady recorded a guy driving while reading a book across his steering wheel. They passed it on the evening news. How far are people going to go in their pursuit of death?

And don't forget: he was also having a conversation on his phone at the same time! Yikes! At least he was talking hands-free, but still... What an idiot!!! Not to mention endangering everyone on the road!

Hi, I didn't see that one, but there was a local one where a guy was texting and drinking a soda while driving. Insane.

I missed the TV version, but I see it quite often on the highway. There are people driving with open books across the steering wheel! I will be honest, though - sometimes our traffic gets so bad here that you are at a standstill. Maybe they are preparing themselves for it.

I did not catch this video. I have seen crazy things people do while driving, though. I see woman putting on makeup while driving, all the time! Why could the lady not put eyeliner on at her house? I would poke my eyeball out, if I tried putting makeup on while driving!

I did not see the video either. I'll be honest and say that I have studied for tests while driving before. I have also had to pull off the road and put my Twilight books in the trunk - they were so addicting.

I see crazy stuff like that all the time. People just don't care. I wonder what it was that he found so important to read that couldn't wait?

I've also been guilty of reading while driving. I would only do it at long stoplights I was familiar with, or when I was totally stuck in traffic.

Doing something that is so distracting while you're actively driving is nuts, but nothing surprises me these days. You have to be a defensive driver at all times to minimize your risk of having an accident.

I sit in Atlanta traffic quite often, and I'll admit, I've occasionally brought a book along. But I only pick it up if we are at an absolute standstill.
