I'm in my 50's so for me autotune sounds very bizarre and truthfully annoying when it runs throughout a song. When I was growing up people had to hit those notes or just sound bad. I think autotune corrects the note if I'm not mistaken. But in my humble opinion, doesn't sound natural. Thoughts on autotune?

I agree with you. I have seen how some people sound horrible when they do a presentation and then their CD sound like it is someone else entirely.

Thank you Roxie. Yes, never thought of that part. CD's are so electronically altered that they've changed the concert experience as well. Who would've ever guessed that would happen. Shocked

I don't like it when it's used for correction, unless it's very subtle. Sometimes it can be used deliberately for an interesting effect in a electronica-type song.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but sometimes I think autotune sounds great. I can see how it compromises the integrity of a singer somewhat, but when it's used well and sounds good I don't really mind.

I dislike AutoTune. I think the singers need to take lessons if they can't sing without it. I'm not a big fan of electronic music so I can't even cite that as a decent example.
