I would like to soundproof a little room in my house for recording. What is the cheapest way of doing it? I don't want to spend too much money on it.

Drive around town and look for dumpsters full of carpet. An old mattress should be suspended from the ceiling above the drumkit, if that is relevant.

Or hit thrift stores for heavy blankets.

Adveser gave you some great ideas. You can also look around for some foam, which works quite well but might be a little harder to find.
