Looks like we may be replacing our older 53" model TV soon. With the constant changes in technology just dont want to make a purchase only to find out that this new purchase will be outdated soon. Is there a checklist of features that the new set should have? Any recommendations of what to look for or stay away from?

I understand why you don't wanna take the plunge immediately in buying a new tv set. Technology never settles down, and it offers something new every now and then, so it's really hard to predict what may be 'in' today and still a trend tomorrow. I've read an article which suggests to go as big as you can afford because wide screen is the future and go for LED TV. Razz
