Gotcha. The standard "studio" bookshelf size models are great for surrounds. They also work great in a small office or bedroom where space is at a premium. But they do lack the lowest bass frequencies.

The two π tower provides deep, full bass and it has the same footprint as the smaller studio model. It's just taller, at just under four feet. Works great for a bedroom system, as the sound sources are high enough they get over furniture and don't need stands.
