I was searching the US Government Trademark site and noted that Mike Matthews of New Sensor/Sovtek purchased the trademark rights to the following old vacuum tube companies:

Genalex
Mullard
Tung-Sol

Rumor has it that there will be a new "original" re-issue of the Tung-Sol 6550 and the Mullard EL34 on the market this Fall. Anybody else hear anything about this?

Interesting. If Matthews keeps gobbling up tube companies, he might find himself subject to anti-trust laws. Wouldn't it be a kick? That aside, it would be splendid if the regurgitated Tung-Sol and Mullard were made as good as days gone by. We will see.
