It is widely known that LED is the new generation of flat screen TVs but are there any disadvantages when you compare it to the older LCD models?

There are endless advantages to the LED flat screens, such as better contrast and backlighting. However, in a recent set of comparison tests it looks like a lot hinges on the type of LED you choose. While the edge lit LED came out on top, the local dimming LED took third place behind the LCD fluorescent TV.

Moral of the story - not all new technology is equal Confused
