Ok on the electrolytic caps . They are in a can . Going to gut it put back in can . Pretty sure that the neg. end of caps go to the black wire. Just checking to be sure. Iwill post pics of all my sets soon as i get set up for it . Going to get my nephew to help me with this .I have not learned how to post pics yet.

To post pics, just upload them with the "File Attachments" tool below your reply window. Click the "Browse" button and find the image file on your computer. After uploading, you can click the link that says "Insert image into message body".
As for the electrolytics, I usually just replace the whole can. Most times, in old tube radios, the electrolytics are pretty small by today's standards. A lot of them are 10uF or 20uF, which I replace with poly caps. They are available with pretty high voltage limits, so they are suitable for tube amps. I have had a few radios with dual and even triple caps in one can, which I replace with separate individual poly caps.
