Dipole mids (Scan-Speak 5.25" Illuminators). Here's another view with the full front and back.

Yes, the materials are "available." But get ready for a heart attack when you see the price of CF sheet, tubes and bamboo sheet goods. Wow!

You can do the same with MDF and/or birch ply, even using aluminum rod stock and save a GRIP!

But it is very, very cool. Hey Rick, How do you get past the low QTS on the woofers? Every OB design I've ever done needs a QTS of at least .45 to work with any relevance whatsoever. But good grief, those are pretty woofers, aren't they.

Yes, you could do something similar with lower cost materials. The 5" drivers cross to a 10" so I didn't need higher Q drivers - plus the DEQX provides equalization.
