Citadel on the top of the hill, 1,5h walk through the forrest, thorns and mud, and rain at the end, haha - a fall.
End of 15th century, not much historical data, preserved so-so, tower maybe 15m high, walls in circle about 25m in diameter and ~4-7m high. Moat for defense around the citadel still can be seen, oak and beech-trees around, etc.
Nice hiking, but tiredness is a mild word...

Man you can just feel the antiquity in that photo. Damir; you got to blow some of these pics up and make posters. Looks like there might have been a drawbridge originally. So who built this thing? Columbus was sailing around looking for Indians at about this time.
Also,D-Man; you need a soundtrack for this stuff.

Huh - to make a posters, soundtracks, 300b amp, guitar amp, preamp...:-)
Maybe to take photos of all the local towers and make a web-page with pictures, descriptions and little historical data?
In some history books this citadel is mentioned, built by local nobility, then used by Turks from 1536-1687, then abandoned.

"Grachanica", that is just the some form of the word city, citadel, tower. For some old towers there are some old documents or legends, but for some (including this) almost nothing. This area was always a battlefield and frontier, not too much old buildings in good shape or detailed historical data.
