Thats what happens in a totalitarian society; they go after the press first. I wonder why they would do that unless they were afraid of people finding out the truth? Those reporters must really be scary for the government to want to reign them in so badly.
But hey; I don't know any real reporters personally; and I don't even know any of you all personally!
Except in pictures and how do I know they are really you?

That's what has happened here too. Media pushes what brings in viewers, readers and/or advertisers. What incentive do thay have to educate? That doesn't pay the bills. And you can't really legislate ethics. Laws are there to mark some coarse boundaries, but if you put too strict guidelines on the press, then you're controlling them. So the media are folks that are really unmonitored, and their ethics are pretty much determined by what they can get away with.

My general thought is, "If you don't know the issues, please don't vote." It only skews the outcome by placing random votes from people that pick based on gibberish.

Hey, that`s me - honestly...
And a "good reporter" can make at least five different stories about that picture...and five different moral attitudes...

Bit of a can of worms there no? The duty of every citizen is to vote; thats what we fought the revolution for. Voting is not an option it's an obligation. We demand things from our leaders and in return they demand we be responsible citizens and vote.

I would never think to give up my vote. It's my job as a citizen.
And whats the big mystery anyway; we see everyday the results of our vote and what issues are addressed.
This philosophy of anarchism is nihilist in the extreme.

If your only choices are Devil or his brother (and that`s pretty much what`s happening here) - then the only way is to ignore their games entirely...

No. That`s a way of fight against. Many historical forces (including socialism) failed `cos of the people didn`t like the leaders, the state, ideology, laws.
There`s a large propaganda here for entering in EU... but politicians are in a little "panic" because there`s no way that 2/3 of the citizens would vote on referendum, and more then 50% of them would vote "yes". I have no doubt that they will change the Constitution or fix the referendum. But those "solutions" would be contraproductive on the long run. Deja vu.
