I kinda liked Ocean's Eleven, so naturally I picked up a copy of Ocean's Twelve when it came out.

I dunno. It was worth watching, but I didn't like it as much as Ocean's Eleven. Having Catherine Zeta Jones in it made it a lot like Entrapment. The plot reminded me a cross-polivation of Entrapment with the Italian Job remake, using the cast of the latest Ocean's Eleven film. That's pretty cool and all, but if you've seen each of these movies, you'll feel like you've already seen Ocean's Twelve.

Thanks for the heads up on this one.

I enjoyed the Oceans Eleven. The vhs has a special feature on
the costuming detail-- not unusual for women's clothes but this
was all about those great suits to capture the Vegas that used to
be. I went there once. The movie is better.

OTOH, I saw Maynard Ferguson and his 9 piece band live at a small
high school near here. This small high school had a great
concert hall-- totally unexpected for a small farm community.
Plus their local Middle school band and HS band were the openers.

When MF took the stage the school had actually put together a very
good lighting cue sheet and the MF sound man knew how to
run a board. He must not have lost his hearing yet-- as is the
impression I get with board operators all the time: couldn't
carry a tune to the audience on a wheel barrow.

All in all a very good experience: something I decided to do at
the last minute.

When I think of when I went to school and the _nothing_ they had
for young musicians and everything for the sports teams I could just
puke.
