Evidently this is the promo photo for the Harmon room at the Munich audio show. The speaker is the JBL Everest D67000.

I've never heard them and likely never will get the chance. They are way too large for my room, likely too heavy for the old floors in the house, and WAY too expensive. Something like $82,500 a pair. It ain't never gonna happen.

But I love their look. Their industrial designer made a 2 way horn/waveguide speaker look unique and sharp all at the same time. There have been dozens of JBL speakers since the Paragon but this is one of the few that has the same sort of dramatic visual design flair.

If you're going to have audio jewelry it should at least be pretty.

Don't know if they are a bit over the top in looks and would be hard to look at over time. But they sure do stand out.

Reminds me of the 4435, modernized and made much more attractive. Love that curved back-panel.

Maybe it's just me, but all I'm seeing is a robot with two eyes, a mouth, a single tooth, and a ponytail that makes it look like Pebbles from the Flintstones. I can't unsee it. Plus, it weighs over 300-lbs. Imagine getting a friend to help you get them in the house. They'd take one look and run.

LOL! I think beauty must be in the eyes of the beholder. Or maybe it's one of those optical illusions. Let's practice. What do you see here?
