I was looking at some high-end pictures of audio units and it got me thinking. Is there a market for photographers who only take pictures of audio equipment for the marketing purposes of sellers and manufacturers? Some of black and whites I saw really made me want to buy that $10,000 unit. LOL

If a person has a portfolio of their best shots, contact marketing agencies in that field. With things being the way they are right now, there might be stiff competition.

Photographers under the commercial photography niche would be the people taking up these jobs. It's no doubt that this job is just as essential because consumers judge a lot based on what they see, regardless of an equipment's specs.

Photographers may get hired in product photography as long as they have the experience, regardless of niche. However, the market seems to be more of a freelance than a regular one. In this field, expect that there are only a few companies that would hire a professional.

The photographer must have done a great job if the image persuaded you to buy such an expensive product. Big industries will not bother to hire professional photographers if it means bringing them money, but I'm not sure how they'd source talents.
