The one I like the best is a 1939 Philco Barn radio./forum/index.php?t=getfile&id=2579&private=0

Nice restoration. It's a beautiful radio.

Wow, thanks for that link! I've purchased a lot of stuff from Antique Electronic Supply over the years. They used to have cloth insulated wire and quite a selection of grille cloth that matched the original of many radios. And they had lots of nice knobs and escutcheons too. But I think they've thinned out their antique supplies over the years, leaning more towards guitar amps and general tube amp stuff. Still a great place, but I think your link might be better for restorations now.

Hi, I use the commercial side of tubesandmore. They still have much of the same stuff. You have to search for it. A good source of tubes at reasonable prices. Yes they do cater a lot to the guitar side though.

Good Listening

Thank you for the link and info.

I love the craftsmanship in the old models. Sure, the new ones look sleek and sound great, but the old world models are still the best.
