I've never tried listening to music with planar magnetic headphones and wonder if the music sounds noticeably different with these headphones as suggested. What's your opinion?

Are these the one's that range in price from $200 to $1,600? I have never tried them and, even if I had that kind of $1,600 cash laying around, I doubt if I would. I just can't justify spending that much on headphones.

I wanted to ask about some cheap examples of these headphones to understand how different the sound will be, but I wonder if they will really do justice to the technology. Then again, there are many brands now trying to provide gadgets with more accessible price tags and a decent build quality.
