Does anyone have a 3D television? I used to want one back in the day when they first came out but never got around to it. I feel like I haven't heard anything new about them in a while. Are they worth it?

3D TV's became popular because of the 3D movies shown in theaters. The problem with 3D TV's is that there aren't many TV shows that offers 3D experience. I'd rather pay to see a 3D movie in a theater than buying a very expensive 3D TV to watch the movies that I have watched in the theater.

Hi, Seems to me that as much as they were hyped they never caught on and there is nearly no material to use with them. I don't even see any in the big box stores.

Good Listening

I saw a 3D TV in my local electrical goods store and I was well impressed with it. I haven't actually bought one though, particularly as I am not sure what the benefits of having one would be, as it seems that most standard TV programmes do not make use of 3D effects.

Again, this is another one to think about, and save up for the day when they come down in price.

3D televisions........someone put the cart before the horse with that idea.

I'm glad I never got on that bandwagon. Like a very expensive pet rock......a purchace you'll later regret.
