I know a lot about using a polishing cloth to wipe a guitar as well as cleaning the guitar strings. Though I've never experienced it, I've heard that there are times when the guitar neck bends. Is this preventable and when it happens, is there anything that can be done?

Prevention would come by way of knowing what type of wood was used to make it. From there, learn about why and how that type of wood warps.

Usually, too much humidity causes this.
