I've been having trouble with speaker static off and on for the last few weeks. I checked all the connections and at first it helped, but the static is back. Any other suggestions for how to fix it?

There could be too much power moving through them, but if so, I believe it would have happened when you first turned them on and it wouldn't go away. Can you change the cords out? There could be a short, or they might not be properly shielded, but since messing with the cords made a difference before, I'd say that's what needs replaced.
