I enjoy music from way before my time. The temptations, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, just to name a few. I consider them classics. Who are you favorite classic singers?

I'll second The Temptations and Aretha Franklin. My mother used to play them on Sunday afternoons Good memories. Mariah Carey is about the only current singer that has their talent.

I also like Ella Fitzgerald and James Brown. Both seem to sing with their whole heart. I've never been a fan of Elvis Presley, even though many fans compare him to James Brown. Elvis always seemed fake to me.

I am a huge fan of anything from the 60's and 70's. There are so many rare sounds that you can find in that era that I often have a hard time deciding what to listen to. However, no one can beat Frank Sinatra!

I guess that my favorite singers are Marvin Gay and Barry White. I love their sounds so much and they turn me on! They are truly the best voices around at that time in my opinion.

Lol!

For my family and our aquantences, there is no one performer whom is more real than Elvis.

Stage presence second to none, live peformances were outstanding with brass band back up.

Horse for courses I suppose.

The OP's question was "who are your favorite classic singers?".
