Be they headphones or earphones, do you think having a pair of these helps in ensuring longevity? The most important thing is how they handled but I think that using them less frequently also helps.

I have different pairs for outdoor and on my PC. The outdoor pairs don't last as long, I think because it's so much rougher, and the cable gets tugged and unplugged more often.
