Hi folks,

I wonder if anybody built a 3PI (or 4PI) speaker in the Netherlands? It looks like a very nice speaker project. I consider building a pair, but would prefer to hear it before ordering.

In a youtube clip of 4PI, I have the feeling that I hear a bit of horn coloration. Of course, this not the best way to audition speakers and any coloration of the microphone and my current speakers is added on top. This was the clip I found (it uses original H290 horn with DE250 and JBL 2226H):

What is our experience with 3PI/4PI? Is horn coloration clearly audible? I read about some attempts to reduce it (e.g. with tape or dreads). Does this help?

FYI. I currently listen to open baffle speakers with full range 8" 215 Supravox Bicone.
