If you have ever wondered about getting a degree in sound design, this looks like a good place to start:

I might steer my daughter in that direction. She loves music and I don't think anyone has ever mentioned that career option to her yet.

That does "sound" like it would be a fun career. I'm sure there's hard work involved, but you would be working hard to make the best environment for music, and the best music for any environment. How could a person not enjoy that?
