Is there technology available that will allow you to eliminate the vocals from a song or CD as it is playing on your stereo? I would like to hear the music only on some of my Pink Floyd CD's.

In my opinion, the best choice to remove vocals from songs without instrumental version is using Audacity. Before I knew this software exists, I asked help from a friend to remove the vocals for me. I had no idea what software he used. Although it seems that Audacity cannot completely remove the vocal and may not work on all songs, at least it helps to decrease the vocal volume so you can treat the file as instrumental version.
