Whether you have been here for ten days or ten years, how much have you learned during your time here? What would you say is the one most important thing you have learned?

I have learned a lot about the likely presence of room modes or "nulls" within the modal region below the Schroeder frequency, existing in most typical residential listening room set-ups.

I was aware of these modes or nulls, in the lower sub frequencies, from the many discussions I have read on other audio sites,

But I was not aware of the (more problematic) self cancellation anomalies in the upper bass and lower midrange that need to be addressed with either helper woofers or the use of corner horns.
