Hi, A qualified yes and no. It sort of depends on what is actually going on. If the signal source is already digital and it is sent digitally to speakers (I assume they have on board DACS and amps) then probably the digital mode if fine. If however the source is analog and has to be converted to digital and then sent to the speakers and returned to analog then I would not do that. The basis is that you have now added two conversions to a signal that could have been used without them. Another consideration is the distance between the speakers and the source. If it is long then digital may be better, if short then there is no particular advantage of one over the other. By long I would say anything over about 15 feet.
