Please, everyone, pity me.

Tomorrow I get in the car with "The Father" and "The Son" and we are driving 1006 miles straight north. We are going from Alabama, up to Northern Wisconsin (almost Canada).

The last time we made this trip we had a rented minivan with XM radio. It made the driving much more bearable. This time we are roughing it in our own old car.

All pity accepted.

If at first you don't succeed, go back and do it the way Mother told you to.

Ha! That is crazy! Where are you going and how long will it take to get there? Why don't you just fly - it sounds like a really long way. I take road trips with my kids but I make sure we have good music!
