I was at McDonald's yesterday and the entire time I was there, I kept hearing a very annoying, loud, low frequency hum. It was the type of sound you feel in your ears almost more than you hear it. I have no idea what it was, but it was driving me insane.

That kind of noise is really annoying, I agree. I have heard similar buzzing/humming sounds in stores before, usually when close to a lot of electrical equipment.

Funny, I think I have a problem with hearing that type of noise. My son often tells me that the TV is not properly turned off, and he's usually right. He says he hears a "hum" coming from it, which I absolutely do not hear.
