My husband's ear is improving. He never used to notice anything, but today we were watching a random kid's show, and he noticed that the reverb on the vocals never changed, regardless of the scene.

Does your spouse pick up on audio cues the way you do?

No, he doesn't. He's pretty oblivious to audio cues as he never properly developed his ear. Like most people, he pays more attention to sight than hearing.

This reply made me think about how disorientating it is if the sound track on a show of movie is out of synch with the actors mouth movements. Does this throw your concentration off?

A little bit, it's like watching the old foreign kung-fu movies that's been converted to english. Very Happy

Oh now, that is annoying. If it's just a little bit off, I can ignore it, but I've seen some pretty bad syncing issues, to the point where I've turned the video off.

Glad to know it's not just me who finds this a problem! I have tried averting my eyes but that is only a short term option.
