We just ended the 13th b'ak'tun Mayan calendar, didn't we?

Kinda cool.

I wonder if they'll print new ones for the 14th b'ak'tun now?

Swimsuit edition, perhaps?

EGADS! Laughing Most of the photos that are supposed to look like the Mayas show people that would not get my attention at poolside. Most likely I would run for cover. Spears and obsidian knives do not make for a friendly pool party. Rolling Eyes

Good Listening

There isn't a 14th b'ak'tun, is there? Isn't that what all the fuss was about, and why so many people thought the world might end? I wonder if current day Mayans were still using that calender, or if they had already graduated to using the same calender we use?

Nope, there's a 14th b'ak'tun. And a 15th and a 16th, etc. Just like any other calendar.

What's the fuss? I think people just like to have a fuss, don't they? Kinda like the "fiscal cliff" maybe?
