Something about John Mellencamp just keeps bringing me back to his music. He really is turning into an American musical icon on the same level of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Woodie Guthrie. I think it's because he's all about the basics. Whether it's music or life, and a good case in point is that one of his latest albums "As Good As It Gets", was recorded entirely in mono.

"Save Some Time To Dream" is an excellent song off that record, and if you want a sound that's a throwback to the old days of music, I would recommend picking it up.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know that recording in mono was even possible anymore. I know the technology is still around obviously, but I didn't know there was a way to transfer that to the more modern media's of music.
