Can I get decent results measuring the delay between drivers outside by using an o'scope sweep? TIA

Sure, but there are better tools for the job. Now days, with all the freeware and inexpensive commercial audio measurement systems, you would be miles ahead getting one and learning it.

I second that. A lot of the newer equipment is more user friendly, thus easier to learn. Couple that with the budget of most people these days and............
