It seems that most preteen and teenage girls are in love with this boy band, One Direction. They are a group of young British singers. I read somewhere, that some people compare their popularity and such to the Beatles! That may be taking it a bit too far. What do you all think?

I've only heard a little of their music and it sounded like generic boy band schlock to me. The Beatles, they are not.

I'm suddenly feeling old and curmudgeonly.
