We have one of those portable dvd players and my little girl has been pulling on the cord I guess. Now when you touch the cord it makes the audio crackle. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is just shot?

The cable is broken internally. The reason it crackles is when you move it, the connection makes and breaks. I would suggest simply replacing the cable.

I agree with Wayne; the cable is broken.

Fortunately cables are relatively cheap. I hope your daughter learns to stop pulling on the cord so you won't have to replace it again. Smile
