Anyone else watch It's a Wonderful Life every year? I do, and it makes me cry every time, too. I usually do that on some weekend day during December, so it's soon time. I'll start collecting tissues.

Its a wonderful life is great, I usually see it at least once during the month of December, but I have to say my favorite is Chirstmas Vacation, (for a lighter note)....I laugh through the entire movie.

I'm not very familiar with that title... unless it's the one with Chevy Chase... is that the movie?

Christmas Vacation has been a family tradition for years here. I have two boys who were in their early teens when it came out and they loved it. They wouldn't watch It's A Wonderful Life. Too sappy they said. being young boys I understood

For all around funny movie we have quite a bit of the dialog memorized to The Princess Bride and somebody would always start repeating it on long trips in the car. It sounded better to me than "Are we there yet?"

Yes it is, and actually I am watching ELF right now with Will Farrell, it really cute, they are both pretty clean. Bad Santa is my husband favorite (not so much good clean fun) but funny.

I didn't see ELF yet, but there's been enough mention of it lately that it's on my to-do list for this year. Actually I'd like to get all of the old classics to watch this year.

Too sappy might fit, but that's the exact thing that hits me in the gut and makes me cry every year. Plus it's the whole idea behind it... it's brilliant. Anything different in our life and all things thereafter would be different forever. It's just very poignant.

Obviously not a Christmas flick, but a very good movie is "Mr. Destiny" with James Belushi and Linda Hamilton. It's based on the main character changing one event in his life, hitting the winning run in a HS baseball game, and how that one event transforms his future. Very good movie, IMHO.....C
