Well, November is upon us (again!) What would you say is the best holiday movie you've seen and is it available in home video?

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. We watch it every year as a family.

Good choice, I like that one, too. My favorite all-time holiday movie would have to be the classic It's a Wonderful Life, though, I think. That's the one we watch every year and it still makes me bawl even after having seen it so many times!

Another movie we watch every so often though it's not a holiday movie is The Long, Long Trailer with Lucy & Desi. I first saw it when it came out and they had a trailer just like the movie hooked up to a Merc same as in the movie. They let us go through the trailer and look at it. I was pretty impressed. Of course I was only 9-10 then

A Christmas Story. I had a BB gun when I was a kid and didn't put MY eye out. Just broke a few of the neighborhood windows!

We must be the same age, I also got to see the trailer.
Lucy in the mud is classic!

My faves are The Wizard Of Oz for Thanksgiving ( speaking of age, remember Ron VanDerkellen[?] throwing 4 TD passes for Northwestern in the fourth quarter?)

Christmas, Miracle On 34th Street and Scrooged.

I don't remember Ron being from the west coast but I do remember the one eyed quarterback for the Washington Huskies that beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl in 1959. Bob Schloredt lost an eye in a fireworks accident but still was one of the best quarterbacks to ever come out of Washington. Wisconson was favored by 10 points but Washington beat them 44-8 and ended a 36 year dry spell for Washington and a 13 year run of PAC 8 teams losing to Big 10 teams.
