I used the three bolt pattern. I realized by lifting the driver up a little it made spinning the nut a little eaiser but im pretty sure removing a little plastic was neccessary. Confused

Yeah, the three-hole pattern is a bit dodgy. I never use that position because the two-hole mounts work perfectly, with no adjustment necessary.

Yup, you can say that again. Fell prey to the old more is better routine. Well now I know the two bolt pattern is good. Smile

Hi Nick, Which BGs are those in the new speakers? What crossover freq/slope did you use on them. I ask as I have a quad of BGs here that I never used for a still born project and it might just give me the push to finish it.

BG Neo3, not sure of the slopes, GR design.

I had high hopes of using premium caps but took a major shellacking on the re-sale of my speakers. So ive ended up having to utilize some stuff on hand (hopefully not a major issue mixing caps??). I am planning on external XO's so i can tweak and upgrade as finances allow. Geeez those big caps are pricey.

A quick layout to determine size of board for building external XO box.

Very cool. I'm living vicariously through you since it's still too cold here to do much in the garage and start my Four Pi project.

Seemed like an inexpensive insurance policy against any potential ringing.

Finally got some time to cut some mdf, pulled out the old trusty table saw and installed a new blade. Cuts thru mdf like butter. Smile

Picked up a new Jasper jig to do the circle duty.

Decided to use 1" thick mdf for a good solid cabinet and recess the drivers. Failed to think about creating twice the work. hehe

Hi, Great looking wood working. My skills in that area are better suited to making orange crates. Smile

Good Listening
