Which software would you recommend Melodyne or Autotune, I hear that melodyne is better but I'm new to this and if it has a steep learning curve I'll be lost real quick.

From what I've heard, Melodyne is better for certain things, but isn't exactly a completely superior product. I think they're pretty different from each other. I've also heard that Melodyne is more difficult to use, but again it probably depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're in doubt, maybe you should go with Autotune.

I hadn't heard of Melodyne. How is it different from Autotune?

Sometimes there is a good reason you hear more about one product over another, but not always.
