Alright, you're on a long road trip, let's say 15 hours. On this particular stretch of highway, there are no stores except a Walmart for about 100 miles both ways and you are right by it. Suddenly, the stereo in your car goes out. You know you will go crazy with silence for that long. What do you do?

Usually I have my mp3 player on me, so if I'm alone, I will put that in one ear and listen to it. If others are with me and I'm right next to the Walmart, I'll run in and buy a new stereo and install it if I can.

I hope this never happens to me! While I'd hate to rely on Walmart for a new car stereo, if that's the only option on a long road trip, then I'd see what they had. If it were a shorter trip I'd just wait, but 15 hours is a pretty long time.

Gofar, you could always sing "The Wheels on the Bus" or "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall". That way the deafening silence doesn't get to be too much for you. Laughing

That's an awesome clip you posted, FL152. I would have to say that's now my favorite rendition of Mockingbird. I don't know if I'd want to hear it for 15 hours though! Laughing
