My nephew started playing the drums a few months ago, and he's really into it. Since he's just starting out, I believe his parents just got him a basic set. I was thinking a cool Christmas present might be something like another cymbal. Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of cymbal I might want to get?

Freddy,
What kind of music is he playing?
I am guessing that he has maybe a crash.
Maybe get him a ride or different sized crash.
A stand may be in order as well.
The style of music may dictate what he needs.
Whatever you decide on, you are a cool uncle Cool

Thank you for your suggestions Scott, I appreciate it. My nephew listens to a lot of rock music, especially indie and alternative rock bands. I'm assuming that would be the kind of music he'd be playing too. I think I'll also check with his parents to make sure I'm on the right track. As for being a cool uncle, that's nice of you to say. Smile I just think it's good for kids to get involved with music, and I really hope he sticks with it.
