What is so great about Blu-Ray? I don't have a Blu-Ray DVD player but I have been thinking about buying one. Why would I want one? Do I need a special TV for the movies to look better?

Everything is better on Bluray. The video resolution is higher and the sound quality is better. Much better.

I think you can still see something that has Bluray on a regular TV, but it would kind of defeat the purpose. You will just see it normally and the Bluray features will be lost.
