Does the fiberglass insulation that divides the box into three sections help the transient response and or the power handling ?
It sort of looks like the varivent principle that Dynaco used in their speakers.

The insulation is there solely to damp standing waves nodes. It is there to attenuate midrange frequency upwards. All we want in the cabinet interior is the bass range near the Helmholtz frequency.
