Definitely check the channel lineups before making a purchase. As for myself I like XM. My husband is thinking about going with Sirius for his vehicle.

I have this with my TV service (Dish Networks) but is it possible to use it with say, a smartphone for example? I was thinking about getting it in my car but sometimes I take the truck to work too so if it were on my phone I could use it in either...

We rented a vehicle with Sirius in it and we loved it! We considered buying it for our home and our vehicle too but we just haven't yet. I think it just depends upon the individual's taste, just as cable TV lineups are.

I was told that Sirius bought out XM, so it probably want make much of a difference. I do know that XM has been around a little longer.

I am thinking XM in the car now and Sirius to keep at home (its free anyways, why pay for it unless I can get some crazy discount).

XM works very good in most places (I live in redneck land) but Sirius tends to flake out a little in some spots. Rolling Eyes

I haven't used Sirius but I have had XM for 4 years now and I love it. The sound quality is great and they have the stations I want to listen to.
