We were just talking about him last night. Remmember when he pretended to be a country singer down in some hick town in east texas? He gets up on the stage on open mike night and starts singing to all the folks;
"Throw all the Jews down the well; Don't let them live anymore", then he gets all the patrons to start singing along... the whole audience is busy singing this kill all the jews song like it was a perfectly normal song. Unbeleivable.
What has he been up to?

He is a character. I think he is getting too well known around though. That hurts his style because he can't surprise people anymore. Everyone knows who he is.
Whats his real name BTW; I know he is Jewish but I can't remmember the name.

Sacha Baron Cohen, err Borat: "MTV is the best because for 20 years their quality showing of videos has
made them the only channel to turn to if you want to knock one out before
midday. Me personally recommend doing it with the sound turned down, cos that rubbish music can really put you off."

He is a true comic genius.
Hey; I wish I could follow your project on the G-build forum; Let me ask you; these changes of passive parts, are you scoping those changes out as you do them? I mean; how do you know when they are productive?

I have a "primitive" rig where I can perform various changes easy. I started with cheap parts, simple CLC rectifier, ordinary, "off the shelf" OPT, then I upgraded various parts. IMO - with this SE amp, the quality of almost every part is critical. The largest difference was OPT - when I changed it to "Lundahl" 1664 (IMO - the minimum quality you want to use ), much of the undesirable "old radio" sound is gone (lower distortion, larger frequency extension). Of course, this is subjective, based only on listening tests.
These days I expect some other "Mundorf" capacitors and AN-Tantalum resistors...go figure
