Among the truly evil is prevalent a capacity to divert attention from themselves. Pay not attention to the man behind the curtain.

So; is that parody or reportage; because at this point I would believe anything with this guy.
Ever notice how the R guys always claim to want a nice civil discussion and assert that it is impossible with the Dems because they get too excited? But as soon as you refute two or more of their points they become starkly furious? And it escalates until they eventually run away?
I mean if you really believe in what you are saying it would not matter what the other guy has to say; you would not be in any way moved off your position or personally upset. And you would never need to win because your philosophy goes on forever and so the discussion should go on forever; but they tire so easily.
Do you think maybe they hate to see the possibility that the emporer might be naked?
The first thing someone does when they come up against irrefutable logic is try to bury you under a blizzard of useless facts. They hate it when you refuse to indulge the fact thing. Like those facts are real.
Remmember when Newt Gingrich served his wife with divorce papers while she was in the hospital with stage 3 metastatic cancer. Never underestimate the power of absolute evil; bringing us back to the original thread.

The lady in question chronicles, in an often humorous way (though less and less so these days) the adventures of Tom Delay.

She took about a year off in 2004, but she's back strong these days.

RE refutation: if you provide a verifiable fact, like 60 nominees who never got out of committee, what you get back is a torrent of invective. If you dare to respond to the invective, you're trashed with the absolutely dirtiest word in their lexicon - liberal!

The way I see it is that there's no way a sentient being over the age of 15 can make the case that the WMD deal was anything but a blatent deception and anything less than treason. Scott Ridder said they had nothing, Blix said they had nothing, and in January and February of 2004 both Rice and Powell gave press conferences that said they had nothing. We even have it in official documents from Blair's government - Bush knew they had nothing.

So the problem becomes if they show any sign of weakness on any matter, anything but fanatical devotion to their fantasy, then the whole thing falls like a house of cards and maybe Bush ends up in front a tribunal in the Hague where he belongs.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?
