How many of you got tornadoes last night? We got 'em, and I hear Kansas and Illinois did too. Nothing bad happened here though.

I just saw pictures on the news over here in Aus about the tornadoes in the US - man, what a lot of damage !!! It really amazes me how nature can do so much wreckage, especially cuz we dont get anything like that down under.

I heard you guys got 51 tornadoes throughout four cities/states just overnight (I forget which). I think Illinois was one of the ones with really major damage from the news coverage we got.

Ahh, Spring time in Oklahoma, gotta love it. Will the tornado sirens go for a 3rd night you think? , or will it be flood warnings tonight?

Yep, yep. It'll be a good night to set up the grille, cook a few burgers and dogs, and watch the stuff fly by.

Yes, Illinois was the worst hit. This part of the world, the Great Plains region of America - North Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois, and West Missiouri and Arkansas - We get more tornadoes here than anywhere else. In April and May, you can count on storms that bring a handful every week or so. Just like some regions are known for being earthquake prone, we're known for our tornadoes.

In Wichita we have tornado sirens. They are to let people know that a tornado is coming, so that they can get their video cameras and go out and get some good pictures. People without video cameras just go out and look. Nobody wants to miss seeing a good tornado!
