It's 75o here and the engine is runnin' smoooooth. Both windows rolled down, listening to "Stray Cats" at least when the engine is idling and I can hear the damn radio. When the weather's good, I always have the windows down. So I'm listening to the pipes and some great tunes in between bursts between stop lights.

Anyway, my Dad's birthday is March 11th, and we are going to visit him tomorrow. I'm thinking how great it would be to pick up a Brian Setzer album for Dad. So I go down to Starship to pick up something.

I'm thinkin', which should it be? The latest one seems like a good idea, it's brand new. That way I can tell him it's just something the kids are putting out these days.

Nitro Burnin' Funny Daddy

Setzer does a lot of neat old big band and 50's sounds, so check him out!

Yeah he's good, he grew up around here and he used to play in the local bars before he went with the Stray Cats. The Rusty Nail in Massapequa is where I used to see him hangin', Good guy.

I have been a big fan of the Brian Setzer Orchestra since
the swing craze of the late 90's. Saw the band live at
The Rave in Milwaukee WI in '99 I think.. it was on my birthday.

For Music and video, check out the Live In Japan dvd by BSO.

I bought more music during the retro swing revival than I had in 30 years.
