Hello to all in thís forum,

I need some recommendations!

Last days we were shopping in COLOGNE!
Near X-mas we had to go to a big town and look for all the things we need for a pretty christmas with family and friends!
My wife found a lot of things..., but from one to the other moment it was my "shopping day",...a local speakerstore made a tentsale!
After a short discussion with my lovely wife and remembering this nice forum following things were in my basket:

2 x EMINENCE MAGNUM 18 HO
2 X EMINENCE KAPPA PRO 10 (DELTA 10...sold out!)
2 x EMINENCE H 290
2 x P.AUDIO BMD440 1" Driver
Total cash price: 500 EUROS ~ 620 U.S.Dollar
I think that`s o.k.!!!

But now my request:
How to build a speaker-system with this components?
The speakers have to stay in corners! (Room is 22 x 11 feets)
BUT...7PI/18`s are not possible....to big!!!(...for my lovely wife!)
Does the KAPPA PRO 10 work in WAYNE`S Midhorn?
My idea:
Bass ~ MAGNUM 18HO 3`- 4` bassreflex
Mid ~ KAPPA PRO 10 in a little closed chamber (...or Wayne`s midhorn?)
High ~ H 290 with driver BMD440
The basic should be Wayne`s 7PI X-OVER!
Any idea else?
Thanks for help to all in the forum!
Karl

P.S. Sorry for my poor English!

I haven't tested the Kappa 10 in the midhorn, but the Alpha 10 and Delta 10 work very nicely. My first suggestion would be the Audiophile Series seven π-18 cornerhorn, but you've already said that wasn't an option for you. So I would suggest using the four π-18 cabinet as a bass bin with the midhorn, tweeter and crossover from the seven π.

Hi Wayne,
thanks for the fast reaction!
Could you send me the plans for the 4PI-18 cabinet please? If it is "slightly overdamped" like your other 4Pi`s it may be a solution for my bass-cabinet.
Much greetings
Karl

Greetings from another small town.
Your mention of Cologne sent me the Wikipedia and I found that Offenbach was born there.
Cool!

You've got mail! [message #50336 is a reply to message #50329] Wed, 29 November 2006 20:22 Go to previous message
