I've always been a last generation kind of guy. I've been checking out the prices of used 2225 and 2425 drivers and they look very accessible. Can someone give me an idea of how these would compare against at set of Kilomax or Omegas? I modelled out the response of the 2225 on Boxplot and bass seems a little weak. I know numbers aren't everything, so how are these in real life?

The JBL drivers are better, in my opinion. Distortion is lower and they sound like it. I really like the Omegas, but they just aren't quite as clean sounding as JBL 2225 or 2226 woofers. They don't have a shorting ring. The Kilomax handle more power, so that is a plus, but again, for clean sound, the JBL's are better.
