Anybody used the 270-082 tweeter for high power PA application. Some people told me that peizo tweeter blow away quickly. I wish to use 270-082 tweeter from parts express. Kindly guide what precaution to take while using the above model tweeter. This model has built in transformer. How it work? Is it better to use crossover, resistor in series or just capacitor. i came to know that along with the transormer there is 4.7ufd condensor is also built in.

Piezo tweeters act like capacitors, so series capacitors act like attenuators, series resistors act like low-pass filters and coils and transformers act like band-pass filters. The circuit you'll use depends on your requirements. They aren't harmed by using them with no crossover at all, so sometimes that's an option.
